Road Base Taringa – EWS Recycling

Are you looking for an eco-friendly and high-quality road base for your project? With DGB20 and DGS20 materials, derived from recycled brick and concrete, EWS Recycling has you covered. Our road base is a sturdy and long-lasting choice if you’re building a driveway, parking lot, or even a bigger project.

What’s the Difference Between DGB20 and DGS20 Taringa?

  • DGB20: DGB20, also referred to as Densely Graded Base, is mostly used as a base course. This material satisfies the highest quality requirements for state and council infrastructure projects because it is RMS3051 certified. It is a 20 mm-minus, which means that the particles are as fine as dust, and less than 20 mm. This mixture is excellent for compaction and is used to build pavements and roads.
  • DGS20: Compared to DGB20, this sub-base material is a little less refined and is used as the base foundation for roadways before any more layers are added. When laying down surfaces like driveways or under slabs, DGS20 is used in the base course to stabilise the subgrade so that any loads above it may be supported.

Applications for Taringa DGB20 and DGS20

  • DGB20: Ideal for paving, car parks, roads, and even bitumen work
  • DGS20: Best suited for general construction, driveways, and as a sturdy sub-base under thicker layers of construction
